FAQ Aircraft detailing Teterboro NJ, NY & Tri State Area. N07, HPN
  • The One Aircraft Detailing provides a full range of aircraft detailing services for private jets, turboprops, and general aviation aircraft. Our services include exterior dry wash, exterior degreasing, interior detailing, leather conditioning and protection, carpet shampooing and stain removal, brightwork polishing, paint correction, ceramic coating, ozone treatment, pet hair removal, and aircraft disinsection. We work on everything from light piston aircraft to heavy jets, and we tailor each detail to the specific aircraft and the client's needs.

  • We're based in Little Ferry, NJ, just minutes from Teterboro (TEB), and we service all major private aviation airports in the Tri-State area. Our primary hubs include Teterboro (TEB), Morristown (MMU), Essex County (CDW), Westchester (HPN), Republic (FRG), and Lincoln Park (N07). We also serve other private airports throughout NJ, NY, Long Island, and Connecticut by arrangement. For seasonal travel, we also operate in South Florida (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach) and the Tampa Bay area.

  • Yes. Aircraft detailing operates on the schedule of the aircraft, not the clock. We offer 24/7 on-call service across the Tri-State for clients who need same-day, overnight, or emergency detailing. Late-night, after-hours, or emergency response may include an additional service fee. Standard scheduled work is booked during normal business hours.

  • We aim to respond to every inquiry within 30 minutes. Because we're based just 6 minutes from Teterboro, we can reach TEB faster than nearly any competitor in the region, and we can be on-site at any major Tri-State airport within 90 minutes depending on traffic. Speed and responsiveness are core to how we operate.

  • We use aviation-specific products designed for safe and effective use on aircraft surfaces — not automotive products. Our exterior cleaning is performed with aviation-safe waterless wash systems that protect painted aluminum and composite surfaces. For paint correction and polishing, we use professional-grade compounds and polishes applied with random orbital polishers. Brightwork and bare aluminum are treated with industry-standard metal polishes. Interior surfaces are cleaned with non-residue, aviation-safe products designed for leather, vinyl, plastics, carpet, and acrylic windows. We never use ammonia-based cleaners on aircraft windshields or windows.

  • Yes. Every product and process we use is selected specifically for aviation applications. Aircraft paint, composite skins, acrylic windshields, and bare aluminum each require different chemistry and technique than automotive detailing. Using the wrong product on an aircraft window can cause crazing or permanent damage — we take this seriously and never compromise on product safety.

  • We come to the aircraft. The One Aircraft Detailing is a fully on-site service — we travel to your hangar or ramp location with all equipment, products, and water needed for the job. If your aircraft needs to come to us, we're also open to renting hangar space at our service location, provided the client is willing to cover the rental cost. Whether at your hangar, your ramp, or a rented bay near us, we'll coordinate the setup that works best for your aircraft.

  • We can work either inside a hangar or outside on the ramp, depending on the service and the weather. Hangar access is preferred for paint correction, polishing, and full exterior details because it allows us to control dust, debris, and light. Exterior dry washes, quick refreshes, and interior work can typically be performed outside. We'll assess and confirm requirements during the quote process.

  • Time varies by aircraft size, service scope, and condition. Basic services typically take 60-90 minutes. A full interior and exterior detail usually runs 3-5 hours depending on aircraft size and condition — sometimes faster, sometimes longer if heavy brightwork polishing or paint correction is involved. We always communicate the expected timeline up front and coordinate around your flight schedule, takeoffs, and aircraft availability so detailing never delays operations.

  • We work with private aircraft owners, corporate flight departments, charter operators, flight schools, and pilots throughout the Tri-State area. Whether it's a single privately owned Piper Archer or a fleet of corporate jets, we tailor our process to match the client. We're equally comfortable on a flight school's Cessna 172 as we are on a Praetor 600 or Gulfstream.

  • Yes. We provide aircraft disinsection services in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) general guidelines for international flights requiring treatment. We offer both residual disinsection (longer-lasting surface treatment) and pre-departure (knockdown) spray applied immediately before takeoff. Every disinsection service includes a Certificate of Disinsection and an affidavit of treatment for crew documentation. Available 24/7 to accommodate international flight schedules. Operators are responsible for confirming current destination-country requirements prior to departure.

  • Pricing depends on the aircraft type, size, condition, scope of service, and accessibility. Standard scheduled service is priced differently from same-day, overnight, rush, or emergency work. For base rates and starting points across all our services, check out our pricing page. For an accurate quote tailored to your aircraft and timeline, contact us at 551-228-8197 or through our contact form.

  • Yes. We offer fleet detailing programs for flight schools, charter operators, and corporate flight departments throughout the Tri-State area. Fleet clients benefit from scheduled service, prioritized response, and pricing structured for ongoing work rather than one-off jobs. If you operate multiple aircraft and want consistent presentation across your fleet, reach out for a custom proposal.

  • It depends on how often the aircraft flies, the environment it operates in, and how it's stored. As a general guideline, aircraft based outside or used heavily benefit from exterior detailing every 4-6 weeks, while hangared aircraft can often go longer between full details. Interior detailing frequency depends on use — charter aircraft typically need cabin refreshes between flights, while private owners often schedule full interior details quarterly. We're happy to recommend a maintenance schedule based on your specific aircraft and usage.

  • The fastest way is to call or text us at 551-228-8197. You can also use the contact form on our website. For accurate pricing on larger jobs or fleet work, we typically prefer to walk the aircraft in person — it lets us assess condition and scope properly. We respond to every inquiry within 30 minutes during normal hours and as quickly as possible for after-hours requests.

  • We accept all major credit cards, ACH transfers, Zelle, and check. Payment terms for individual jobs are typically due at completion. Fleet and recurring contracts are invoiced according to agreed terms.
